The Submission Window for the First Ever Girls With Wings™
Scholarship has closed!
I would like to first sincerely thank all of the women that submitted
applications by November 1st deadline. I am truly impressed by the
experiences, qualifications and enthusiasm of many of the women. You
many read brief portions of the essays right now, and many of the essays
will be published in their entirety. You can read about the details of the
2007 Scholarship, knowing that we will be presenting a 2008 scholarship
starting in August. I look forward to a new group of Girls With Wings™.
Unfortunately, I had more qualified and deserving applicants than I had
awards. If you would like to support next year's scholarship, please make a
donation by clicking the button above. Any amount will be greatly
appreciated.
This year's Awardee will be announced December 1st via the Girls With
Wings eZine (signup). The winning submission will be judged on her
willingness to be a superlative GWW role model. She must show potential to
continue her interaction with the GWW organization, via the website and
events, so she assists GWW in encouraging more young girls to have an
interest in aviation.
